Be prepared for a musical vitamin boost! Mosambique is the band that gets people down from the bar
stools and out onto the dance floor! Ivan Blomqvist, the songwriter and keyboardist behind the successful
band, Rohey, has put together some of the most promising young jazz musicians Norway has to offer.
Together, Mosambique creates a hybrid of electronic dance music, afro-beat, hip-hop and funk.
The music hits you right in the face with its snappy synths, sassy horns and pulsating rhythms. It's dirty
and raw, with a scoop of self-irony. The band shows that jazz has no trouble being danceable!
Mosambique released their debut album "Big City Moves" on Jazzland recordings in march 2019.
